This course is designed to allow the LSRP to understand the relative roles of the various entities involved in linear construction projects (LCP). ln many LCPs, construction routes often cross contaminated sites, some having been remediated with contamination left onsite. This results in the probability of more than one LSRP being involved. The various entities involved include: the property owner; the entity responsible for the construction; the contractor performing the excavation and their subcontractors; a LSRP “hired” by the responsible entity; and, if applicable, a LSRP for a contaminated site.
This course will examine applicable legal requirements of each of the parties. In particular, the role of the LSRP will be detailed. LSRP liabilities in LCP will be examined and discussed. A case study shall be presented.
